What exercise gear, gadgets or clothing are on your wish lists this holiday season?
THERESA:I would love to have an MP3 player, specifically a Rio S35S Sport Digital Audio Player. It's tiny, lightweight, can store up to 10 hours worth of music and best of all, it's really cool-looking. And it won't break Santa's budget, either.
Also, I'd love Santa to stuff my stocking with new sports socks. My favorites are Asics CoolMax socks .

JENICE: I want outdoor running clothes. That'll get me out in cold weather!
LAURIE: I'll take one of those fancy MP3 players Theresa wants. And a couple months of yoga lessons with local Iyengar teacher Joan White or Yoga on Main in Manayunk.
BARBARA: A gift certificate from City Sports or another exercise/clothing/running store would be great. Here's some other suggestions: for runners, a cool looking running jacket or specially designed tops that take the sweat away from your skin. A good pair of running gloves. A running watch that's easy to use for people like me who are challenged in the technology department. Same goes for an MP3 player. I would like one if I knew how to use it!! I can barely program a walkman. A massage is a great gift - I especially like Pierre and Carlo. http://www.pierreandcarlo.com/ For some, a few sessions with a personal trainer is a great gift - especially for people who work out but are intimidated by doing weight training. A trainer would give them confidence.
APRIL: I desperately need a new pair of running shoes and outdoor clothing, something totally wind-resistant, because I can feel my running schedule slacking off already!
THERESA:New running shoes are a perfect gift. Most women are very loyal to their exact brand, so it's easy to sneak a peak at what she's been running in lately to figure out what size and style to buy. If the runner on your list is not quite due for a new pair, she will be soon enough, and it's always good to be able to alternate between a couple of pairs. It is so motivating to have a new, cushiony pair of shoes!
ELLEN: I would love someone to call my husband and tell him where a reasonably priced spa with really good neck and back massages is located. Maybe we need a girlfriends weekend at such a place?
(Check this site Monday for a rundown of all our favorite local spas! And be sure to let us know now what's on your own holiday fitness wish list!)
Check out the funky little watches at www.tubetime.com. A nice, very cheap colorful watch that would make a great stocking stuffer for the runner who's not obsessed with timing herself to the last second. You can order them from a very cool company called GirlSports Brand Inc. (http://www.girlsportsbrand.com/)--- a company that also sells great T-shirts and other workout gear.
