There is a side effect to working out that rarely gets mentioned. Has anyone noticed that the more you work out, the higher your sex drive can be? It's known exercise increases testosterone in males, and it's been reported dopamine release from exercise can make women feel more amorous.....so what's your feeling about this?
APRIL: Yes I think this is absolutely true. Ahem. Before I exercised regularly, I used to use the excuse that I'd be too tired if I pushed myself. But anyone who runs or works out hard knows it actually energizes you - and everything you do. Often. Ahem.
THERESA: Some research has shown that having sex before running a marathon can result in faster times! (Hey, whatever works!)
ELLEN: Managing editors don’t comment on these kinds of things.
LAURIE: I've noticed that it isn't just your visible muscles that benefit from exercise, especially leg and hip work. (And everybody knows about kegel exercises, right?) Plus, looking good and feeling good puts you in a better mood for anything!
YVONNE: The more I exercise the more comfortable I feel with my own nakedness. I see women of all shapes and ages walking around the locker room in various stages of dress just doing their thing and I think, "good for them". My bod is far from perfect but the stronger I get the more confident I feel and I think confidence is sexy.
THERESA: Staying fit makes me feel younger and healthier in every way. In every way . If you know what I mean....
So what do you think? (And try to keep it clean, all you girlfriends out there!)
All I know it that when I told my husband I was getting back on the treadmill, he said "If doing that (the treadmill), gets you here (the bed) more, great)!" And he's right. It works.
