Who's running the Philadelphia Distance Run half marathon next weekend? I haven't been logging enough miles to train for it this summer, but I know Yvonne Dennis is running. It's a great event. I felt such a wonderful sense of accomplishment when I ran it last year with Yvonne and April. The event also features a 5K run and childrens' events. Don't miss it!

I once ran the Distance Run without having trained a day for it. It was a couple of years ago. I'd just broken off a long-term relationship. The race was in a couple of days. And I hadn't been running much. But, on a whim, I said "yes." Now, it was a miserable experience. I found myself having to walk through a couple of water stations. But I finished it and afterwards, I felt great. So, Theresa, if you'd like to run it, I'd say, "Go for it!"
