Fitness resolutions - Barbara BARBARA,retired teacher, singer and arts & cultural consultant: Greetings from the sensible chanteuse. Here in quick form are some 2003 resolutions:

  • Commit to some kind of physical activity three to four times a week. Walk, dance, bike, bowl or visit the "Y". Find something you'll stick to.
  • Volunteer in your community. The new year is a great time to reconnect with humanity and give of your time for the benefit of others.
  • Plan your meals for a healthier lifestyle. Make minor modifications at first and step it up every month or so.
  • Get involved in something you enjoy such as reading, writing, painting, photography or gardening. You'll be happier for it.
  • Set realistic goals for yourself and be your own best friend. Laugh, live and let this be the best year yet. Posted January 07, 2003 02:26 PM
