Speeches:
These are charities and non-profits I serve on the board or committees for. I am so grateful for how much they have enriched my life and hope you check them out.
A fun way I was able to help the Boys and Girls Club - it was one of the best nights of my life!
I know, sounds like a tall order! Well, they can't do all this great work without the help of many, so check it out and get involved. Added bonus, you can learn so much about these important issues on their site.
I got involved with this organization because I felt it really had a very unique approach and was tackling three of the most important issues facing our world. I didn't know I would get to meet President Gorbachev, its founder, and that was a real treat. I also managed to interest my teenage sister for the first time in global warming by recounting star sightings of Leo and Orlando Bloom at one of their events, and by interviewing Kate Bosworth at another. Whatever it takes, right?!
One charity I would love to be involved with if I had more time...
Tell me about a charity you think citizen hunters should know about and why.
Flavia,
Your website is very informative, and we appreciate your involvement in great causes and organizations. As you probably know, the faith community plays an important role in emphasizing our moral obligation to create social, political, and economic change. Strong leadership and effective outreach inspire hundreds of thousands to be active members of the community and strong voices for a better future.
Per your website request, we wanted to tell you about 2 charities that people should know about.
The Interfaith Environmental Council (IEC) is a coalition to repair, protect and preserve our environment while integrating God’s vision of sustainability, responsibility, and advocacy for creation. Working in partnership within our own faith communities, the IEC is a collaboration of religious institutions established to examine the spiritual connection to God’s world and to explore and advocate ways to make environmental issues a significant focus of life in Southern California.

The Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life of Southern California (CoejlSC) revitalizes the relationship between Judaism, environmental stewardship and the Southern California Jewish Community. In seeking to fulfill this mandate CoejlSC works to educate and activate our community in order to address and respond to the pressing and complex environmental problems we face today. Our fundamental goals are to develop and implement sound environmental practices within our community and its institutions, to instill environmental stewardship in present and future generations, and to further support these practices by actively participating in the formation of public policy.

I wonder if Martin Luther would want to be in the Church that is his namesake. At least the way we find it here in America. St Julian the Apostate Lutheran Church (I have forgotten Jesus) would be a good name at worst. Other problems are the leaning towards heresy especially that of the Jonathan Edwards type from the Great Awakening were the debate on the place where one's will has in effecting one's salvation is avoided by misdefining the term "will". (whenever there is a choice there is an example of the will.) I would say that a will is involved in a choice but when one comes to a choice, the choice itself is not the will. But the Anmerican Lutheran (I don't know how things are done in Germany)is surely scismatic in making differences in things today that will not matter tomorrow and willing to use force to accomplish these differences as in appealling to the state for enforcing these schisms of theirs.
With this said I don't know were Ms. Colgan got her information to say that Luther said "I would rather serve under a competant Turk then an incompetant Christian", on the "Situation with Tucker Calson" on May 17. It does not sound like a comment were Luther was ever in a situation to have to make, though saying he said that sure can serve a purpose for today. Is the Lutheran church so beat that one can say anything that was not said and attribute it to Luther. But if one has trouble finding were they are in this, I would recommend "The Ability to Execute the Exhortation and the Exhortation Church" Maybe even Luther would be a member on hearing of it. At least I woulid expect this name for me to be found wherever I may find myself in church. My end is probably in the cemetary for the unidentified so I dont uderstand the value of my signature in signing my life away but anyway here it is.

Flavia,
Just saw you on MSNBC with Tucker Carlson and decided to check out your new site. Looks great, congratulations! My only advice is to change the picture of you at the top of the site. There are far better pictures to showcase your beauty!

Posted by: Mark J. Asher at June 8, 2006 12:02 AMI admire you and appreciate your opinions. You embody everything I love about outspoken, American women. Thanks for stepping forward!

Why is a strong minded, well spoken, politically active woman so attractive to me? I wish there were more of you out there. Not literally of course but more women like you out there. If you are on Yahoo Personals expect an email... ;)
I am starting a political discussion website that I think is very unique. I want to encourage real dialogue and help clear the smoke screens. To date most political websites are very biased and often does more trashing the other side than advocating anything constructive. Hopefully our strategy and implementation will help Americans see through the spin doctoring and close mindedness to the truth.
I just want to thank you again for your valiant fight for what is right.

Just watched Youtube video of your appearance on MSNBC’s Situation with Carlson.
Discussed was an unscrubbed post-Katrina videotape featuring Michael Browne, at or around the time he was first sensing the goat’s noose being slipped over his head; however arbitrarily that might have needed to happen.
Reminds me of the gent who’d just shown up, on or the day-before 9/11, for his very first day at his new post as head of WTC security. He perished.
Anyway. Flavia. I need that damned tape.
I wondered if you could please send any “lead” for sourcing the actual Browne tape if you aren’t in possession of it? Youtube vid of MSNBCs vid only featured din of TC’s voice obscuring all audio/vocal of Browne tape in question.
tks in advnc

Just saw you on Tucker. First, wow, you are someone who should be on TV more often. Are you really for open borders? If so, what crime is the crime where you draw the line? You never answered Michael about "What happens to the illegal aliens who cross AFTER the amnesty?"
We need to rid the United States of all illegal aliens. I have a plan that would pay for itself and allow those who have entered here illegally a chance to obtain a "Guest Worker" green card. Thus, it will be a win for the illegal aliens who are worthy and for the country by getting rid of almost 12 million criminals.

My neice is a senior at Harvard, a budding activist and my fondest hope is that she comes out swinging at the world like you have.
Just saw the piece on Scarborough Country about Stewart and Colbert, my heroes. Nice work!
And it doesn't hurt that you are so easy on the eyes! If conservatives have Ann Coulter, well, they can have her!
Posted by: bill at August 22, 2006 12:44 PMFlavia,
Thanks for the good work. That you have gotten to a place where your voice has more of an audience is commendable. We need activists with heart.
There are two reforms that I think are long overdue in American politics that could help immensely if enough people began to seriously consider them:
1) Term limits --in one term, say 6 years, and out. Repeat as desired. Both Fed and State.
2) Gender Equal Representation.
An amendment to the Bill of Rights that would replace every other man with a woman. In a special election, voters would choose which of the incumbent males they would like to retain while at the same time voting for the female of choice to replace the exiting man. Gender equal representation is so long overdue in this republic that it is borderline criminal. Without gender fairness in government all pretence to equality is sham. Women of all colors got the vote 50 years after it was given to the black males. Ridiculous patriarchy in the 21st Century!
The end split would be 50/50 in the Senate, and 218/217 (f/m) in the House, and would stay at this level.
At what point do women finally claim their rightful place alongside men? ---they'll have to demand it, because it won't be given freely to them.
Best regards,
RC

When Texas belonged to Mexico, Mexico openend up their borders to settlers from the US that agreed to convert to Catholicism and renounce their US citizenship. The Americans, at first agreed, but slowly but surely wanted to seceed. They kept flooding Texas, until one day they claimed Texas as their own. With US intervention and assistance, eventually it became part of the US.
Was Texas settled by criminals - since they disregarded their agreement with the Mexican government? You and I both know that when it pertains to invasion and wresting one piece of land from another, he who settles the land with greater numbers, works it, develops it, and then fights to stay there - - wins. So hats of to the early Texas settlers for flouting the laws of another country, in this case Mexico, claiming and eventually winning the land for their own, and bec-oming one of the greatest states in America.
That being said, what then is wrong for Mexicans and Mexico tryng to do the same thing? Nothing. You conquer by flooding the land, you get conquered by the same principal. Alls fair in love, war, and conquest. Don't cry that there are 12 million criminals. Thats how Texas was founded. 12 million guest workers today...24 million new citizens tomorrow. It's only a matter of time, and you know what? It's okay. I'm a Christian and know that the only Kingdom that matters is Heaven. Thats the way of this life. Might makes right. And there is nothing you can do about it. Nothing. Just take care of your brother, even if he is from across the border - for now. He may just be your neighbor, and then your brother-in-law, and then your Congressman.

This is the first article of yours I have read. I hope you are kidding - Clinton did NOTHING about terorrism. You say he "had daily briefings on al Qaeda and meetings 3 x a week." And what exactly did he do with this information?? NOTHING. I am not terribly political - the war in Iraq has been clumsy to say the least - but please don't say CLinton was right or did anything to quash these terrorists- do I have to remind you about the WTC bombing in 1993 or the USS Cole debacle?
Finally - the miniseries was pretty good- especially the Middle Eastern parts and the showing of the red tape and lack of communication of our govt. agencies. This was the main part of the miniseries - not some 4 second cut of Monica Lewinsky. Please don't bash Bush about not reading some memo that Mr. Clinton knew about for EIGHT years!
