Give her a hand: She won't stand

What a time to take a stand (or seat, if you will) on freedom.
As wars rage and politicians blather about the issue, a Wisconsin eighth-grader has put her own freedom on the line by refusing to stand during the saying of the pledge of allegiance.
Now Rachel Morris, 13, says she has been abused by teachers and students alike.
But as a result of Rachel's actions, the superintendent of Rachel's school district has, according to the Wisconsin State Journal, instructed principals to tell students: "America stands for freedom, and students have the right to rise or stay seated and participate or not participate as they wish."
Thus Americans have the right: not to stand during the pledge of allegiance; not to say the aforementioned pledge; not to hold their hands over their chests during the saying of said pledge; not to pray in school; and so forth.
It's in the Constitution (or the Bill of Rights or one of those other old documents).
Americans also have the right to remain ignorant about their rights.
You could look it up.
